3.1.3.10. archived
Prior to archiving, the object and the writing program must be parameterized, as detailed in 2.1.19. Archived
There is an access in the main menu of the basic options of the process.
Transaction:
SARA
The SARA standard transaction is the default application provided by SAP to perform the archiving. An object / EDGE / SII has been created that includes all the eDocuments and related tables.
WRITE
When selecting "write", the variant of the program and the user that will execute it are selected:
When selecting "Start Date" it is determined when the archiving program will be launched(always in background).
By "Spool Parameters" the output device is determined where the process log will be printed.
Once all the values are filled in, you car execute the archiving and consult the process through the direct access button to jobs
DELETE
Selecting "Delete" selects the user that will execute it and the "Test mode" option:
When selecting "Select file", choose the file that you want to delete from the database. Only files that were successfully archived can be deleted.
When selecting "Start Date" it is determined when the erase program will be launched (always in the background).
By selecting "SPOOL parameters" the output device is determined where the process log will be printed.
Once all the values have been filled in, you can execute the deletion (with the "test" option selected if necessary) and consult the process using the direct access button to jobs
MANAGEMENT
Selecting "Management" displays all the archiving processes performed so far, with the status of each of them and the information they generated.
RELOAD
Reloading files is not a common practice, but you can recover deleted records back to their original tables:
Go to→ Reload
Selecting "Write" selects the program variant (by default there are already two, one in test mode and one in real mode ) and the user who will execute it:
Selecting "Archive Selection" selects the file to be restored to the database. Only files that were successfully archived and deleted can be reloaded.
Selecting "Start Date" determines when the reload program will be launched (always in the background).
Selecting "Spool parameters" determines the output device where the process log will be printed.
Once all the values have been filled in, you can execute the reload and consult the process using the jobs shortcut button.
TRANSACTION:
AS_AFB ( Archive File Browser )
The standard transaction AS_AFB allows you to check the files generated during archiving. It can be used both to verify that archiving has been carried out correctly and to consult stored data without having to reload the archive.
