3.3. Licence installation

At each execution, the product shall check whether the associated licence is valid. In case the validation is not correct, the processing shall be interrupted, reporting the corresponding error in the .log of the application accessible through the message monitor.

The validation process shall give the licence as erroneous in the following cases:

  • If the licence has expired

  • If the licence file does not correspond to the installation number and the system id

The product licence consists of a file named "license.lic" with binary content, which is generated by Avvale specifically for the system.

The licence will be downloadable from the Avvale customer area.

Techedge will provide a license file for the system, which will be valid for one year from the time it is generated.

The license file provided by b+dgtal support must be copied to a local path in the server's File System. In case of a clustered installation, it is necessary to copy the file to each node that is part of the cluster, taking care that each node is copied to the same destination path.

Recommendation: place the license file in a directory with the name "license" and include in the file name the validity date of the licence. It is also advisable to make at least one backup of this file.
