  • Step 1: Go to the NetWeaver Administrator page: http://<host>:<port>/nwa.

  • Step 2. From NWA, enter "keys" as the search query and press Enter.

  • Step 3. You should now see a window like the one below. Click on Key Storage.

  • Step 4. In the key storage view, select "TrustedCA" in the top rows. Only this type of entry is of interest.

  • Step 5. Click on "Import Entry" and select "X.509 Certificate" as the entry type. Please select the corresponding entry type depending on your own needs.

  • Step 6. Select the entry type "X.509 Certificate" and then the location of the file that was saved in the previous step and click on Import.

  • Step 7. Browse to the key/certificate stored on your local file system or network, and specify the corresponding password. Click on "Import" and verify if the key has been successfully imported by clicking on the tab "View entries" the new key to search for. A new entry with your key name should appear in the list.

  • Step 8. From now on, your applications (including adapter modules and custom adapters) running on top of the SAP NetWeaver Java application server can use keys (certificates, public and private keys) stored in the "TrustedCA" keystore.
