BC_SETs activation release 1.7.8.

Mandatory Action

The activation of the BC_SETs is mandatory together with the installation process of the version via software component. Without this activation some product features may not work.

If release 1.7.5 was NOT previously installed, you will need to activate the BC_SETs of release1.7.5: Activation of BC_SETs release 1.7.5

If release 1.7.6 was NOT previously installed, you will need to activate the BC_SETs of release 1.7.6: Activation of BC_SETs release 1.7.6

If release 1.7.7 was NOT previously installed, you will need to activate the BC_SETs of release 1.7.7: Activation BC_SETs version 1.7.7

The BC_SETs that need to be activated with release 1.7.8 are the following:

  • /EDGE/SII_BC_SET_SP9_SIN_MDNT: It is only necessary to activate it in a client since its tables do not depend on a client.
  • /EDGE/SII_BC_SET_SP9_CON_MDNT: You need to activate it in each available client because the information it contains is client-dependent.

Before activating the BC_SET check that the entries for the following tables are registered in the SCPRSTAM table:

  • TMENU01
  • TVIMF


Activation example for a BC_SET

To activate a BC_SET use transaction SCPR20. Enter the name of the BC_SET: /EDGE/SII_BC_SET_SP9_SIN_MDNT.

Press the Consistency Check icon and verify that no error occurs.



Once the consistency has been checked, click on the icon  to activate it.

Press OK as many times as necessary.

This way the BC_SET would be activated.

After the activation is finished, a message may appear with information about the activation:

Ending with warnings

To view these warnings, click on the log icon:

The same warnings that were displayed when you performed the BC_SET consistency will appear.

Note: This process must be repeated for each BC_SET to be activated. Bear in mind that some of them are client dependent, so they must be activated in all the applicable clients.


Notes on the activation of each BC_SET:

/EDGE/SII_BC_SET_SP9_CON_MDNT


During BC_SET /EDGE/SII_BC_SET_SP9_CON_MDNT activation, a Customizing transfer order will be requested. To check that it has been activated correctly, check that the following table has been included in the transfer order:


/EDGE/SII_BC_SET_SP9_SIN_MDNT

During BC_SET /EDGE/SII_BC_SET_SP9_SIN_MDNT activation, a Workbench transfer order will be requested.
