Today, the Internet is not only personal desktop computers connected by a local area network. These are also personal mobile devices, cloud data storages and much more, which allows the seller to be online (“on line”, “in touch”) with the consumer, and the consumer to receive important information for him not only remotely on the Internet, but also in a convenient format for him at any time and on a large number of media operating online.

  • When they say "internet marketing", they talk mainly about marketing on the Internet - about digital products, their presence and sale on the Internet, as well as promotion through online advertising, search engines and websites.

  • When they talk about "online marketing", they talk about the availability of products and information about them online, that is, they talk about the technical and communicative opportunity to "be in touch" provided by information technology.

Today, these terms are used interchangeably, and in the future we will use these concepts as identical, but each time, using this or that, we will focus on: either the location of marketing - on the Internet, or the ability of marketing "to be in touch ".
